Will the JPG keep the photo's date and location?
No. The JPG will not include the original EXIF metadata, such as the date the photo was taken, camera details, or GPS location. Keep the original HEIC if you need that information.
What happens to an iPhone Live Photo?
The primary still image stored in the HEIC file is converted to one JPG. Secondary images, plus the separate motion and audio component of a Live Photo, are not included in the JPG.
