How Crest Convert works

Crest Convert is a file conversion tool. Some conversions happen entirely in your browser using your device's built-in capabilities, meaning your files never leave your device. Other conversions may require server-side processing, in which case your files are uploaded securely, processed, and automatically deleted after a short period.

Where server-side processing is used, we will clearly indicate this on the relevant conversion page.

Data we collect

We may collect the following information to operate and improve our service:

• Pages visited and general usage patterns
• Approximate geographic region (country level)
• Browser type and device category
• Referral source

This data is aggregated and anonymous. It cannot be used to identify individual users.

File storage

For browser-based conversions, your files are processed locally and are never transmitted to our servers.

For server-based conversions, uploaded files are stored temporarily for the sole purpose of processing your conversion. Files are automatically and permanently deleted within 24 hours of upload. We do not access, review, or share the content of your files.
