Can I resize a PNG while compressing it?
Yes. Resize from 10% to 100% with the output-size slider. Both dimensions change together, and a smaller percentage can substantially reduce file size.

Which PNG images compress best?
Logos, icons, screenshots, diagrams, and illustrations with repeated colours often shrink particularly well. Detailed photographs may benefit more from WebP or JPG, especially when transparency is not needed.
Will the compressed PNG keep its metadata?
The compressed PNG keeps the visible image and transparency but does not copy metadata such as EXIF camera details, GPS location, or text comments. Keep the original when you need that information.
Why did my PNG not become much smaller?
A PNG that already uses a small colour palette may have little left to reduce. Try a lower Colour Detail setting or smaller output dimensions, then compare the original and completed sizes shown by the compressor.
