Why convert WK3 to ICO?
A WK3 file is a Lotus 1-2-3 Release 3 worksheet, the version that introduced several sheets stacked in one file. The ICO shows the worksheet's cells as LibreOffice Calc prints them, with calculated values, number formats and text laid out in rows and columns, sheet by sheet.
ICO output is a 256 × 256 pixel Windows icon: the image is scaled to fit with its proportions kept, and the surrounding space is transparent.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert WK3 to ICO?
Drop your WK3 file above and press Convert. Our servers open the Lotus worksheet in LibreOffice Calc, print every sheet to a PDF and render each page as an image. The result is saved as a 256 × 256 ICO icon, ready to download.
Is every sheet of a multi-sheet WK3 included in the ICO?
Yes. Release 3 files can hold several sheets, and each one is printed in turn, so all of them appear in the ICO pages.
Do Lotus @ functions in a WK3 show their results in the ICO?
Yes. LibreOffice Calc reads Lotus formulas such as @SUM and @AVG, and each cell prints its calculated value.
Which part of the WK3 becomes the ICO icon?
The first page of the rendered content is used for the icon, fitted inside the 256 × 256 square with its proportions kept.
What size is the ICO made from a WK3 file?
The icon is 256 × 256 pixels, the largest standard Windows icon size. The image is fitted inside the square with its proportions kept and a transparent surround, stored as a PNG-compressed icon.
Is my .wk3 file kept private?
Your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection, converted on our servers and deleted automatically within 24 hours. We never read, share or keep your files, and no account is needed.
