Why convert OFX to ICO?
An OFX file is an Open Financial Exchange statement download from a bank or card provider, holding account details and transactions for money management software. The ICO shows an “OFX document” heading followed by the statement exactly as written, set in a monospaced font, with each transaction's tags and values on the lines where they appear in the file.
ICO output is a 256 × 256 pixel Windows icon: the image is scaled to fit with its proportions kept, and the surrounding space is transparent.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert OFX to ICO?
Drop your OFX file above and press Convert. Our servers check the file for its OFX header, lay out the statement text as a document, export it to a PDF and render each page as an image. The result is saved as a 256 × 256 ICO icon, ready to download.
Is the tag structure of a OFX visible in the ICO?
Yes. Tags such as <STMTTRN>, <DTPOSTED>, <TRNAMT> and <NAME> appear on the page as written, so each transaction's date, amount and description can be read directly.
Are the header lines of a OFX included in the ICO?
Yes. The file is shown from its first line, so the OFXHEADER lines of an OFX 1 file or the XML declaration of an OFX 2 file appear above the statement.
Which part of the OFX becomes the ICO icon?
The first page of the rendered content is used for the icon, fitted inside the 256 × 256 square with its proportions kept.
What size is the ICO made from a OFX file?
The icon is 256 × 256 pixels, the largest standard Windows icon size. The image is fitted inside the square with its proportions kept and a transparent surround, stored as a PNG-compressed icon.
Is my .ofx file kept private?
Your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection, converted on our servers and deleted automatically within 24 hours. We never read, share or keep your files, and no account is needed.
