Why convert MSG to TIFF?
Outlook saves a single email as an MSG file when you drag a message out of the mailbox or choose Save As. The image shows the message's From, To, Cc, Subject and Date in a header table, the body with its formatting, and the names and types of any attachments.
TIFF is a long-established image format for archiving, scanning and print workflows, and it holds the rendered page at full resolution.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert MSG to TIFF?
Drop your MSG file above and press Convert. Our servers convert the Outlook message to a standard email, lay out its headers and body, and render the page. The result is saved as a TIFF image, ready to download.
Do I need Outlook to turn an MSG file into TIFF?
No. The MSG file is read on our servers and turned into a standard email first, so the TIFF is produced without Outlook installed.
In which time zone is the date shown in a TIFF made from an MSG file?
The Date row shows the sent time in UTC, written in the international ISO format (for example 2024-05-01T09:30:00.000Z), so it reads the same wherever the message came from.
What happens when a MSG file fills several TIFF pages?
Each page is rendered at 144 dpi and saved as its own TIFF image, named page-1, page-2 and so on, and they download together as one ZIP. A single page downloads as one TIFF file.
Is the TIFF from a MSG file a single image?
Each rendered page is saved as its own standard TIFF image at full resolution. When there are several pages you receive one TIFF per page in a ZIP, numbered in order.
Is my .msg file kept private?
Your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection, converted on our servers and deleted automatically within 24 hours. We never read, share or keep your files, and no account is needed.
